SBMWD has received reports of calls and messages left for customers stating immediate payment must be made on past due bills or service will be disconnected. While our representatives may contact you to offer payment plans or arrangements, they will never ask for financial information such as checking account numbers or credit card numbers.
Telephone scams have become a common threat to utilities. Please protect yourself by never providing confidential information such as user IDs, passwords, Social Security numbers, credit/debit card numbers, PINs, or account information to unsolicited callers.
